SSC Regular Seminar Series 2021/22 held to exchange ideas
The Department of Social Sciences (SSC) boasts a wealth of scholars specialising in a very diverse array of disciplines including sociology, economics, political science, public governance, finance, urban studies, geography and gender studies. The department has always underlined the importance of collaboration and the exchange of ideas between different disciplines. To highlight cross-disciplinary exchanges as a vital part of its culture and to provide academics with the opportunity to present their latest research projects and knowledge transfer activities, SSC has organised the Regular Seminar Series since 2020/21 academic year.
In the 2021/22 academic year, six online sessions were held by the department. A wide spectrum of topics were covered in the six sessions. There were fruitful discussions and exchanges among speakers and participants in every session of the series. The final session of the series was held on 22 June 2022. SSC will organise a new round of Regular Seminar Series in the 2022/23 academic year to discuss various contemporary issues in social science research.
